Bereavement Support Group

Zion Lutheran Church is planning to begin a bereavement support group for the community of Long Valley.  At this point we hope to see the group meeting on the fourth Sunday of each month.  If you are interested in seeing such a group and/or would like to attend, we will be holding an “organizational meeting” this coming Thursday, September 28th at 10 am in the Adult Forum room of Faith Hall.  Please come and join us!

Barry Blaine

Zion’s Barry Blaine, husband of Ellen Blaine, is receiving in-patient therapy after a few weeks in the hospital. He will be there for a while, and we are sure a few words from you will make his day!  Please send your well wishes to Barry’s attention at: Kindred Hospital, 400 W. Blackwell Street,  Room 353, Dover, N.J., 07801

Bible Study This Tuesday

The Tuesday Bible Study Group will meet again this coming Tuesday, September 20th at 1:00. The group will meet at 12:00 pm at Pezzo Pizza in Long Valley for lunch before our study begins. We will focus our study on the lectionary passages for the following Sunday (please see the schedule in the LVL Newsletter). As always, all are welcome to join in the discussion and bring someone new!

The Adult Forum will take place tomorrow at its new time—10:30 am Sunday mornings in the Adult Forum Room. Grab a cup of coffee and join us for lively discussion on scripture and faith! For the next few weeks we will be discussing the many reformers beyond Luther and how their work is connected to present day denominations
