REFORMATION SUNDAY CELEBRATION

Come and join us for a very Lutheran celebration on Reformation Sunday, October 29th! Please note that there will be only one church service on the 29th at 9:15am and no Sunday School. We encourage all Sunday School families to attend this important celebration. During the service, Zion’s choir and bell choir will combine to present the premiere performance of a new composition written specially for Zion by our own Christian Humcke. The composer has combined voice, organ, and bells into a joyful and powerful arrangement of Martin Luther’s hymn “A Mighty Fortress”. The congregation will be invited to join in and sing along with the choir.

Following the 9:15am service on October 29th there will be a “Reformation Luncheon” in Faith Hall. Come and sample sumptuous German food catered by Schwindts, as well as other standard fare. Sign-up sheets are available in Fields Hall or you can contact the church office. Join us as we ring in the reformation and celebrate how the faith and perseverance of one person changed the world – and that person just happened to be Lutheran!
