ABOUT US

We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America

As a congregation that was founded before our nation, we take our history pretty seriously, and are grateful for it.  One historical tradition is that whenever we pray the Lord’s prayer, children are invited to ring the church bell.

Young and old participate in and support many local and global ministries, such as LVCAP, Morris County Habit for Humanity, Lutheran Disaster Response, ELCA World Hunger .  We’ve been told that we are warm and welcoming to visitors.

This is Christ’s church.
There is a place for you here.
“We are a church that shares a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. Liberated by our faith, we embrace you as a whole person — questions, complexities and all.  Join us as we do God’s work in Christ’s name for the life of the world”  (ELCA quote)
